Monterey Update

Finally some real progress! Shane talked to a guy out in Cali about a position in Monterey that is opening up in January. They already have a guy who is slotted to take the spot, but he's a contractor. So, having Shane, who is someone within the company is much better. Also, it's pretty much the exact same job that Shane is doing right now. And! the guy said it's hard to get people to want to move out to Monterey, so it's great that we actually really want to be there. Everything seems to be falling into place. The guy has to get approval for Shane from the guy who is in charge of the contract out in Monterey and then I guess that's when the negotiations will start. We're really hoping that they will help with the moving costs, since we're guessing it'll be at least $5,000. Shane is considering getting a huge Uhaul and doing it ourselves. But this sounds really painful to me and I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. If we get some help with the moving costs, he's more likely to not push the Uhaul move.
