Woohoo! Only one month into the new year and I've finished one of my five UFOs! I finished this one while visiting Joanna. Here's the info...
Pattern: Set-in sleeve sweater pattern from The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns
Size: 26" finished chest
Yarn: 100% wool from Kainoa
Needle size: US6
The size was way off. I started this last year for Caleb, when he was 3 years old and his chest was 21" around. This book doesn't give age recommendations for the sizes, so I thought the smallest at 5" bigger would be great. But when I finished the front and back piece and then sewed them together, I realized that it was way too small for him. So, I ended up setting it aside. When I finished it at Joanna's, I tried the sweater out on Lily, who is 17 months old, and it was a great fit except for the super long sleeves. That's why I have the sleeves rolled up.
I don't know who I will give this to, but I plan on creating a box that I will fill with finished craft items that I intend to use as future gifts. It feels so good to get this done after sitting around with no purpose for so long. I can't wait to have another UFO to report!
