I just want to say...
It's really going to happen!!!
I keep repeating this to myself because I still can hardly believe it! In my mind the progress is going slow, but it's progress nonetheless. Shane got an email from out relocation assistant. He has to fax her over some paperwork and then she can start helping us make the moving arrangements. So maybe in a few days.
I also got an appointment made for my 32 week prenatal visit in Gilroy, which is about 45 minutes away from Monterey. I asked the woman if she happened to know what hospitals they deliver at and she said "San Jose is the closest hospital". I couldn't speak for a few seconds. "Uh... that's like an hour and a half away from Monterey! Don't I have any other options?" She wasn't sure but she gave me another number to call. After a very frustrating conversation with a woman who didn't speak English very well and tried to convince me that Monterey was in Southern California and that I'd have to drive there, I found out that Monterey is "out of range". Which means that I can go to whatever hospital is close by and they can charge Kaiser! This turns out to be such a blessing because I was thinking we'd have to drive 45 minutes to Gilroy when I'm in labor, but now it will only be about 5 or 10 minutes! That's a good thing because it's likely I'll be too wimpy again to forgo the epidural. I still remember that last contraction I had before I got the drugs. I was dilated to 7 cm and I was paralyzed with pain, I stared at a spot on the wall so hard I thought my eyes should have popped out. Although I really do hope that I can manage to go without. I could be wrong, but I feel that things would have gone better if I hadn't taken it. I had dilated from 4 cm to 7 cm in about an hour and then things came to a stand still after getting the epidural. It didn't help that Caleb did not approve of the pitocin. Eleven hours passed before he finally came out. Altogether, my labor was 36 hours. It would be super if this time it didn't last so long.

wow what a HUGE relief to be able to go somewhere close and bill Kaiser for it! At least you wont have to worry about that part of it. I will be hoping that your labor is smooth and fast for you. =)
