The Cotton Ball

I really need to start paying attention to what I'm buying because I'm not sure who made this or what the line is called. I think it's Moda though. This stuff was 50% off and you can't tell from this picture but it's actually not quilting fabric. It's really thick, kinda like canvas. It's the same thing that my Williams-Sonoma apron is made from. I've never seen this stuff before, so I just had to have it.

The pink flower fabric is flannel. I got 2 yds of it so I can use it for the backing of a quilt. And the checker stuff is flannel too, but it's only 1/2 yd. No plans for this yet. Both were 50% off.

Here are some fat quarters that I got for $0.99 each (the second one over is flannel!) and chubby eighths for $0.50 each.

And I love this apron pattern!

At this quilt shop they have a bin with lots of these scraps, which they call "quilter's candy". They'll give you a little paper bag and let you pick out 10! It was so fun! If I had a quilt shop, I would definitely do this. It doesn't really cost them anything and it really makes the shoppers happy. Who doesn't like to get free fabric? Even if it is tiny. But, that one on the right is actually pretty big (Caleb found it!). I figure they'll be good for those puzzle balls.

Awesome! Those are good find. I have some of the fabric you found. It's Michael Miller Ginger Blossoms.

I'm not sure what I'll make. I don't think I want to use the blue and red for the apron since the skirt uses alternating pieces. I think it'll be too busy. I'll just keep it in my quickly growing stash. Maybe a jacket for Georgiana...hmmmm...

Thanks Jo! I didn't look at the maker of any of the fabric I bought! Now I just gotta figure out what that blue and red stuff is.
