Definitely a good year.
But... I'm pooped. I'm more specifically looking forward to January, as I imagine (or hope) that it'll be my time to recover and get our house and life back in order. hmmm... but assuming it ever was in order suddenly seems delusional.
I'll refrain this year from making a list of New Year resolutions. I'm not going to embarrass myself by providing the link to last year's list. I failed miserably. But in my defense, I did move across the country and had a baby. And without any epidural to boot. That's a good enough excuse, right?
Instead, I'll just mention some New Year hopes. And then maybe I'll keep track of things that I do accomplish, so I'll feel like a productive person and somewhat worthy of all my incredible blessings.
I hope I will...
knit and sew more.
learn to cook and bake things that I think are too difficult for an amateur such as myself.
write more blog posts. (even I find myself frequenting my blog, hoping to see something new and interesting. only to be disappointed most of the time.)
write blog posts that are pithy. (off to a bad start here)
exercise more regularly and especially if I get pregnant again.
Anyway, that's it. I don't want to set myself up for failure.
Notice I have nothing on here about reading books. I think I've finally learned that lesson. I prefer books to browse through, not to read through. My latest nightstand obsession? The Pioneer Woman's cookbook that Derrek and Kainoa gave me for Christmas! So fun to flip through and read in bits. Love it!

Congradulations on wonderful life changes, even though stressful, you created the opportunities for a better family. You are now promoted to Prime Minister Extrodinaire from Princess. Princesses are very ornamental any way and without real power. Love and peace to you all! Mom
Oooooooooh! How do you like Ree's book, huh? I want one, but don't have the mulah!
I don't really make resolutions either. But I like your hopes list! I enjoy your blog :)
Btw, having a baby is a good excuse to do nothing but sit around nursing for SEVERAL months. imo ;)
