My Name is Mommy (Old)

I'm slowly, very very slowly, teaching Caleb to read. We hit a rough patch because we finally started getting into the reading part. It took me a while to figure out how to motivate him to get through all the letters and it's the same deal with reading. I gotta figure out how to make him interested.

So, I've given up on the boring sentences like:

Pat the cat.

Dan can bat.

Blech. Booorrrriingggg!!

Caleb much prefers sentences like:

The fat rat sat on the cat.

and

Dad sat on the mad cat.

He really liked that last one. So much so, that when he was at taekwondo practice and one of the instructors was retying his belt, Caleb said...

"My dad! He sat on an angry cat!!"

And the guy looked at him like he was crazy and said "Whhaa!!??"

And I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I love my Caleb. I swear I'd hardly laugh without him in my life.
