The House and Allergies

We got another counter (this would be the second) and it's still $15,000 over our max. We really like the house and there are no other houses on the market that have the size lot and house and also a garage. So, we were thinking crazy and thought we should just be financially uncomfortable. VERY uncomfortable. But, then our realtor called to find out if we'd made a decision and Shane said we were still talking about it and that it would be really uncomfortable so it's a difficult decision for us.

And you know what he said? You'd think he would try to talk us into going over our max since the more money we spend, the more money he gets. And that is exactly what our other realtor did. Anyway, he said "Oh! Well, you don't want to be uncomfortable. That'll just cause problems later on."

So true. And so, even though we were leaning on the side of not going over our max, he sealed it for us. So he sent over a last counter just to let the guy know that we weren't going any higher. He said sometimes it works. And the house has been on the market for about a year now with no offers. But still. I'm sure that they will want to see if anything comes out of the open house this weekend, so I'm assuming that we won't be getting this house. Oh well.

We'll be going to two open houses this weekend. Both of which I'm not excited about, but you never know.

And about the allergies. Some years I have them and some I don't. But, I have noticed that being pregnant seems to aggravate it. And it really stinks that I can't take any medicine for it except cough drops. I think I'm most allergic to weeds, versus trees and grass. And the weeds are going to be "very high" for the next 3 days at least. Bummer.

On a happy note! I get to go to another sewing class tonight! This one will be an advanced class. I have no idea what it's on, but that just makes it more exciting.

GOOD FOR YOU GUYS!! That would be a very hard decision to make. You so want the house but.... And wow, what a great realtor! It's nice that he's willing to work with you instead of constantly thinking about his pocket book. I'll be interested to hear what you find this weekend and if they accept your counter-offer.
