A few weekends ago, I really thought that Joann's was having a $3.99 sale on Vogue patterns. I really like their patterns and $3.99 is about as cheap as it gets. So, I made a list and arranged it with Shane to go shopping at Joann's all by myself!!! But when I got there, I noticed that there was no sale sign on the Vogue pattern cabinets. I asked a salesperson, who didn't know what I was talking about and didn't know where a copy of the sales flyer was. So, I left. Very. Disappointed.
The next weekend, I had a great idea for a family outing. We caught the metro to Alexandria, then took the free trolley (which is actually a bus dressed up as a trolley) to Old Town Alexandria. We had lunch and then ice cream at a real ice cream shop. We also went to Knit Happens! I bought this totally awesome Noro sock yarn to make my self feel better about the Vogue pattern debacle. I can't wait to knit it up and see the stripes appear. But it might be a while before I start it cause I'm trying to finish up some wintery clothes for Caleb. A cardigan, a new hat and some mittens.
