I have really been wanting to blog about something I've made. But, in order to do that, I'd actually have to make something. I'm just about in the third trimester now and starting to feel it. I am so thankful that Caleb still takes a nap. Every morning I think to myself how great it will be when Caleb naps and I will have an hour or two to sew. But, around 11 a.m. I start to think about how I should take a nap because sleeping sounds much more fun than sewing. And when I do nap, I wake up in the exact same position as I fell asleep. One afternoon, I fell asleep with my hand on my stomach because the baby was moving around. And I woke up with my hand on my stomach! Isn't that cute?
Ok, anyway, there is another good reason for me not sewing. Yesterday, I was feeling good enough to not take a nap. So, I started to get my sewing machine ready only to find that I've lost the screw that holds my regular foot in! This is highly annoying since I've had a problem with that screw being too short for my open toe foot and walking foot. I finally found a screw from one of Caleb's broken toys that happened to be the right screw at the right length to hold these feet in! I was so happy!!! But, now I don't have the too short screw, which is just right for my regular foot. The new screw is too long for my regular foot! ARRRgggghhhhhhh!!!! I could just scream!!! So, I'll have to make a trip out to Home Depot this weekend to get me some screws and I plan on getting about 100 of each screw so I don't run into this problem again.
Just one more thing. The project that I was going to start on yesterday is another quilt. Caleb is in love with the Fresh Squeezed quilt and so I gave it to him. So, now I need to start on another for the baby. I have a charm pack of the Moda Strawberry Lemonade line and some extra of the yellow and pink strawberry fabrics (I couldn't find a picture of the pink online and I'm too lazy to take a picture myself). I don't have the backing yet, so I'll have to keep an eye out for something good. I'm thinking of doing something more interesting this time instead of just one big piece of fabric.
