Sleepy Wrap

I didn't carry Caleb around much in a carrier. We have a Theodore Bean carrier (but it's not the pattern in the link's picture). But, this carrier is not really meant for infants with floppy heads and I found that I really needed a way to carry Ana around at the places I take Caleb to play. For example, I love taking him to Dennis the Menace park, but it's all sand. So, I can't keep her in a stroller, I can't carry her around in the car seat, and I can't carry her around because I might need my hands free to tend to Caleb.

I saw a woman at the library playground with a complicated looking wrap and she said she loved it. Her baby looked so cozy and comfortable too. I didn't ask her what brand it was, but I found two that looked to be similar: Sleepy Wrap and the Moby Wrap. Both are $40 if you go with the plain model. But, I read reviews that the Sleepy Wrap was more stretchy, which could be a good thing (snaps back into original shape better) or a bad thing (baby's weight slowly makes wrap stretch out of shape and needs to be rewrapped often). I decided to go with the Sleepy Wrap because I wanted the grey color.

Here's me with it on. It's actually really easy to wrap it.

Here's Ana all snuggled in. She immediately fell asleep when I put her in. I kept her in the wrap for about an hour and a half and it did loosen up some, but I think she ended being more comfortable because I had made it too tight to begin with. Although it did get a bit hot after a while, I like that there is so much support and my back and shoulders didn't hurt.

WOW COOL! That sleep wrap looks GREAT! I am so glad you found something to be able to hold Ana and still have your hands free! She looks like a little pea in the pod! SO SWEET! Even if it does get a little hot at least you are move comfortable and Ana is happy. Leat it is not 106 there like it is here today. I just want to lay on the couch and eat bonbons all day...UGH....=)

I love the baby wraps! Keeping your hands free will be a huge blessing I'm sure you'll appreciate!

You'll be free to go shopping with her all wrapped up also!
