Stuff I Want

I recently got the new Williams-Sonoma catalog and there were so many new things that I so love. Thought it might be an interesting post. Sorry, no pictures of the kids here.

I love this new Stand Mixer! If I didn't already have one that I really love, I'd find a way to buy this. I do like the color, but I'm so in love with the clear bowl. I went to the KitchenAid website to see if I could buy just the bowl for my stand mixer, but no such luck. Bummer.

I've only been slightly interested in making fresh pasta. Seems more like something I'd venture into when I'm retired and have more time. But, if I had this, KitchenAid Pasta Press Attachment, I think I'd be inspired to try it sooner. Much sooner.
Look at all the cool shapes!

This is the coolest mandoline ever! Unfortunately, it's got a price to match.

If I ever spend the money on a nice set of knives, I decided long ago they would be Shun. And they've come out with a gorgeous new line. They don't actually sell them in a set though. Here's the link for the Shun Bob Kramer Meiji 7" Santoku knife. And keeping with my extremely expensive taste, I'll have to win the lottery before owning the set... maybe even just to own one. But, they sure are pretty. *sigh*

I saw that the Martha Stewart 18" x 18" scrapbooks are on clearance at Michael's. Reguarly $80, they're marked down to $30. They are ridiculously large, but for some reason I can't stop thinking about them. I searched the internet for ideas about what one would use a book this big for. I found a lady who uses it for her kid's art work, which I thought was a good idea. And I also ran across the idea of using it for those big 10 x 13 portraits. I really like this idea. I was thinking about putting a couple wedding pictures and then all of the kid's and family portraits. I really don't think I could keep up with framing them all and hanging them because after a decade or two, wouldn't I run out of wall space?

The scrapbook is, unfortunately, the only thing that I might possibly get. Everything else is a fun dream.

I saw that clear mixing bowl a few months a go on Martha Stewart and also fell in love with it! I later found out that it wasn't even out yet, but its nice to know that it is now!

I'm in the same boat though, we have the same mixer with the silver bowl - I hope they come out with the clear glass bowl soon!

AAHHHHH! YOu really shouldn't have put those knives up. I have to go out of my way to NOT look at knives because I could spend a small fortune on knives. And I already have a good set of knives.

I almost drooled over the kitchen aid mixer when I first saw it about a week ago. But I have a fairly new one. You know, just not with the nifty clear bowl... :)
