Great America

We went to Great America today in Santa Clara, which is about an hour north of us. We met some good friends there, Linda and James and their three girls Madeline, Amanda and Kaitlyn. Their kids are huge! It's all James' fault cause he's 6'4". Linda is not a big girl, only 5'4", but her girls weighed 10, 9 and 11 pounds, respectively. (plus some ounces, but I forget). Anyway, the reason why I'm saying all this is to build up to this picture (which is really an awful picture, but it's the only one that I got where Amanda wasn't on her tiptoes, cause that's just how she walks and stands for some reason... on her tiptoes)



See how much bigger Amanda is than Caleb? She is exactly two weeks older than Caleb. Not two years... two weeks! Crazy huh? And Caleb (who is almost five) only weighs a few more pounds than Kaitlyn, who is 13 months old. She weighs 30 pounds.

We ended up getting season passes cause it's just about the same amount as buying a one-day ticket. I was a little disappointed with how many rides Caleb couldn't go on though. And a lot of the kid rides were pretty lame. I'm so glad that we were there with friends and their kids. It'll be better next year though cause they have a water park too, which is closed right now. So, here is Amanda and Caleb riding the Shane ride while we waited for James and Maddy to finish riding a big kid ride.
