I did, at one point, yell "Stop it! Pay attention!". But, we weren't too hard on him because, you know, he's a five year old boy. I was impressed that he actually waited for two hours.
Anyway, his test consisted of some punching, kicking and blocking sequences...
Some gymnastics-type movements...
And sparring...
At the very end, all the kids kicked and broke a wood board. Caleb was the youngest and smallest and couldn't get it done. His teacher asked for a different board and Caleb started crying. It was so so so sad. He calmed Caleb down and explained that he would be punching the board instead.
So, after a few practices, Caleb punched the board and broke it! He actually broke it so hard that it hit his teacher in the face and board broke into three! Everyone cheered and Caleb was so happy! It was so cute!!
We have video of is, but it'll be about 20 years before we manage to get it on the computer. Sorry.

I have really enjoyed all your latest posts and I'm sorry I haven't been commenting. BAD FRIEND!!
I love that picture of Caleb with is foot way up in the air!! Video would be totally cool!!
WOW! He rocks!! I would love to get my kids into martial arts. Sadly there are very few classes around, and the ones that are are VERY expensive!
I am glad he broke his board! I can imagine the feeling he was going through having not been able to!
